On August 6th, the 2021-2022 China Environmental Sanitation Expo was grandly opened at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center. Representatives from various levels of the national environmental sanitation system, local environmental sanitation associations, relevant universities, research institutes, and industry related enterprises participated in this annual event of the environmental sanitation industry, with nearly 200 participating units and over 10000 visitors on the first day of the event.
Xu Wenlong, President of the China Urban Environmental Sanitation Association, presided over the opening ceremony. Yang Hongyi, Deputy Director of the Urban Construction Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, and Gao Yu, Deputy Director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development, delivered speeches. Sun Ying, President of China Construction Technology Group, Chen Wu, Chairman of the Fujian Provincial Tendering and Procurement Group, Huang Changqing, Director of the Urban Management Department of the Fujian Provincial Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development, Li Ganliang, Deputy Director of the Xiamen Municipal Landscape Bureau, Sun Songqing, former Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development, Chen Dengfeng, Director of the Fuzhou Urban Management Committee, Vice President, Executive Vice President, Secretary General, and Executive Deputy Secretary General of the Central Ring Association attended the opening ceremony.

The China Environmental Sanitation Expo is a comprehensive national exhibition of the entire environmental sanitation industry chain hosted by the China Urban Environmental Sanitation Association. After nearly two years of careful planning, the 2021-2022 China Environmental Sanitation Expo has carried the needs and wishes of national environmental sanitation personnel to exchange, discuss, and cooperate, and has received strong support from environmental sanitation authorities at all levels, industry associations, and industry enterprises and institutions.

On the afternoon of the first day of the Expo, multiple thematic forums were held simultaneously, including the establishment meeting of the Central Environmental Sanitation Incineration Special Committee and the high-end technology forum for high-quality development of 2035 environmental sanitation, the annual meeting of the Sanitary Landfill and Ecological Restoration Special Committee and the benchmark governance forum for ecological restoration of domestic waste landfill sites, the annual meeting of the Central Environmental Sanitation Operation Special Committee and the industry technology seminar and development trend seminar, and the opportunities and challenges of the waste industry under the dual carbon goal. The attending representatives shared practices, exchanged experiences, and jointly explored the development of the sub sectors of environmental sanitation.

On August 7th, the annual meeting of the Environmental Sanitation Machinery Management Committee and the Intelligent Development Forum of Environmental Sanitation Machinery, the Public Toilet Construction Management Symposium, the Special Seminar on Garbage Leachate Treatment, the Special Forum on the Development History of the Environmental Sanitation Industry, the Conference on Comprehensive Promotion of Garbage Classification, the annual meeting of the Urban Rural Environmental Sanitation Integration Committee, and the Industrial Solid Waste and Hazardous Waste Treatment Exchange of the Central Environmental Protection Association are being held.
